Pair of Heath GW-31 transceivers (circa 1962)

For Sale: $100.00
Item details
Description:

These units are crystal-controlled, transistor handhelds, and I believe they were the first handhelds Heath put out. They operate in the 11-meter (CB) band, and the transmitter is rated at 90 milliwatts. I built them from kits in 1962. They use 9-volt batteries of the old form factor (NEDA 1602, Eveready 246). On powering up with one of today's 9-volt batteries, I heard nothing. That could be a fault of old components or could be caused by excessive current draw from the small battery. Manual included. Paypal preferred. Buyer pays actual shipping and packing. Precious few of these have been sold online, so setting a price is a problem. If you don't like my price, make an offer.
