These units are crystal-controlled, transistor handhelds, and I believe they were the first handhelds Heath put out. They operate in the 11-meter (CB) band, and the transmitter is rated at 90 milliwatts. I built them from kits in 1962. They use 9-volt batteries of the old form factor (NEDA 1602, Eveready 246). On powering up with one of today's 9-volt batteries, I heard nothing. That could be a fault of old components or could be caused by excessive current draw from the small battery. Manual included.
