When you create an account here at SecondHandRadio.com you will be asked to provide a valid email address, first and last name, password, a security question and an answer to that question.   Your email address is encrypted and kept in the website database.  Your email address is used by the website when visitors click "respond to ad" link in your advertisement.  Your email address is necessary to retrieve your password, should you forget it.  Unless stated elsewhere on this site, the only information you provide during registration that will be public is your 'username'.  If you win a contest in which this site participates, then we have to (by law) make your name and state of residence public. 

We do not place your email address on any mailing list when you register or use SecondHandRadio.com.   Should you desire to be kept informed of new features here at SecondHandRadio.com, you will need to go to JTKnews.com and sign up.  Be sure to select the category "SecondHandRadio.com".

SecondHandRadio.com and its 3rd party partners uses "cookies".   These include cookies from this website which verifies that you have signed in and allows the service to give you access to your account and control your ads.   All other cookies are anonymous.  One type of cookie used by this website is from the company(ies) which provide advertising on this site so we can count how many times their ad is shown; these cookies also helps us track what someone was doing just before the site crashed or made a serious error.  These third party companies never have access to your username or email address.

You may reject all cookies by adjusting the settings in your website browser.  Please be aware that if you reject cookies, that many functions of the website will not work. 

We do not sell or rent out our userlist.  We will not disclose your email address or username unless requested by a law enforcement agency.   Even then, I don't know how to get it out of the database.
